Claims workflow preparation

Clarify the workflow before the next claim question becomes urgent.

PayerReady Health helps teams organize the workflow, information flow, payer context, and handoff questions that shape claims preparation.

Practical advisory support

Preparation that leaves your team with a clearer next move.

Bring a PHI-free description of the workflow, team roles, payer area, and where the question is getting stuck. PayerReady does not code, submit claims, correct claims, provide compliance advice, or promise payment or reimbursement.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) sets December 1, 2026, as the email-verification deadline for affected users of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Eligibility Transaction System (HETS). The 270/271 numbers identify the messages: 270 is an eligibility request and 271 is the response—not a claim. This change applies only to clearinghouses and vendors that submit under their own HETS Submitter ID (submitter identification number), not every provider’s Medicare enrollment or claims submissions. The monthly notices are dated October 1, November 1, and December 1, 2026. If all three consecutive notices fail delivery, HETS will suspend the affected enrollment record and reject 270 eligibility requests sent by the clearinghouse for that provider’s National Provider Identifier (NPI). The provider or supplier must update the registered email through its Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC). If your organization uses a vendor or clearinghouse, coordinate with that submitter.

A responsible starting point

Discuss scope before you share details.

Use a PHI-free scope discussion to clarify the payer or workflow question, what preparation may be useful, and whether an advisory engagement fits. We do not promise payer approval, payment, reimbursement, compliance, or a specific outcome.
